A new energy strategy updating a 2001 version has been approved by the Finnish government, but has left nuclear energy conspicuous in its absence.
The policy suggests no forms of generation would be excluded but proposes more biofuel and renewables while making no comment on nuclear power. The energy strategy will be debated in committee for several months before a parliamentary vote is taken.
