EDF and Rosatom have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate in research and development, nuclear fuel and nuclear plants that are operating or currently under construction.
The MOU was signed on 19 June in St Petersburg by Sergei Kirienko Director General of Rosatom and Henri Proglio, EDF Chairman and CEO. The Memorandum also sets basis for exchange of experience and training, including visits to industrial sites and facilities in both countries.
The companies will establish executive committees on each area of cooperation.
