Indian engineering company Larsen & Toubro has shipped the first four dry shielded canisters for US Areva subsidiary Transnuclear. These canisters form a part of a 50-unit order for three nuclear power plant operators.
The shipment is the company’s product export to the USA.
L&T is currently the only Indian manufacturer with ASME nuclear stamps N, NPT, NA and the NS certification for design, manufacture and construction of nuclear island equipment.
