US firm Holtec International has reportedly appealed against a decision by the Kiev Economic Court that cancelled a tender won by the company for the design and construction of a waste nuclear fuel storage site in the Ukraine.
The contract had originally been won at the end of 2004, but a local firm challenged the results of the tender and succeeded in overturning the contract awarded to Holtec.
The facility would be used to store the waste from the South Ukraine, Rovno and Khmelnitski plants.
