The UK’s Hayward Tyler Group (HTG) and China’s Shanghai Apollo Machinery Co (Apollo) on 27 July agreed on a strategic cooperation agreement for nuclear power collaboration.

The two organisations have agreed to explore opportunities to cooperate in developing and deploying equipment in support of the UK nuclear new build programme; small modular reactor (SMR) development programmes; Generation IV reactor technologies; and reprocessing and decommissioning.

HTG is a leading supplier of engineering solutions and equipment, including pumps, motors and power solutions, to the energy industry through its UK and US facilities.

Apollo is a leading supplier of equipment and services across the whole Chinese nuclear industry from its facility in Shanghai. It supplies nuclear-class pumps and major non-nuclear class pumps as well as equipment for the nuclear fuel cycle.
