Canadian utility Bruce Power and Tetra Tech Canada have reached a new six-year agreement that secures a key role for the engineering company in the delivery of outages and online work as well as supporting Bruce Power’s Life Extension Programme which is Canada’s largest infrastructure project.
Mike Rencheck, Bruce Power’s President and CEO, said the life extension programme, which began in 2016 and remains on budget and schedule. "It is creating and sustaining 22,000 highly-skilled jobs across Ontario… while delivering 30% of Ontario’s electricity at 30% less than the average cost to generate residential power,” he added.
Tetra Tech Canada Inc. has been an engineering services provider at Bruce Power since 2017 and will be responsible for the majority of engineering services for rotating equipment, electrical equipment, mechanical equipment, and emergent work programmes. The company is active in Canada and the USA.
