Under the agreement, Atos will continue to provide a wide range of digital transformation services, with day-to-day operations at Sellafield focused on providing the site's 12,000 strong workforce with end user compute and service desk services, applications management, hosting and security services.
Atos said the contract extends its long-term relationship with Sellafield, which started in 2012 into 2022.
Sellafield Ltd is responsible for cleaning-up the UK’s highest nuclear risks and hazards to safeguarding nuclear fuel, materials and waste on behalf of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority.
