Areva, through its subsidiary Cogema, has signed contracts with Electricité de France (EdF) and Enusa for the conversion of natural uranium. The EdF contract is worth around 230 million Euros. The contract signed with Enusa is worth around 10 million Euros and covers deliveries between now and 2008.
The contracts were signed by Comurhex, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cogema. Comurhex has two conversion plants in France, one near Narbonne and the other in Pierrelatte.
Meanwhile, Framatome ANP, which is owned by Areva and Siemens, has been awarded a 20million Euros contract to supply Isar 1 in Germany with ATRIUM 10 and ATRIUM 10 XP fuel assemblies from 2006. The contract was signed with E.ON, operator of the 878MWe BWR.
