The likely date for Barsebäck 2’s final shutdown is 31 May 2005.
Peter Andersen, speaking for Barsebäck’s management, said that the date is likely but only a preliminary choice at the moment. It may only be changed for safety or technical reasons.
On this schedule, the 615MWe BWR will cease operation as Sweden’s summer begins easing the potential mismatch of supply and demand.
