A DoE-industry cost-sharing programme would need about $36 million in federal funds in fiscal 2002, and another $47.2 million in fiscal 2003, to achieve new US nuclear generating capacity by 2010, according to the Near-Term Deployment Task Force. According to the Task Force, over 50% of the funding would come from the nuclear industry.
