The Dungeness plant and its surrounding area are the subject of a photography exhibition currently on in London, UK.

According to Photoworks, who commissioned the project: “The Physical Sites exhibition brings together two independent projects by Nigel Green and Naglaa Walker, whose work explores the psychological and physical spaces of scientific environments, challenging preconceptions and presenting different images of this often inaccessible world.”

The exhibition combines large-scale colour photographs with an ‘archive’ of small reprocessed photographic fragments. Photoworks has also produced a book of the Dungeness project. Physical Sites is at the Photofusion Gallery, 17a Electric Lane, London SW9 until 13 November. To coincide with the exhibition, a special panel discussion – addressing whether science has a subjective, aesthetic approach and art objective rules – is being held at the Gustave Tuck Lecture Theatre at the University College London on 28 October from 7 – 9pm. Tickets are available from photofusion.
