Ontario Power Generation (OPG) has awarded a contract to Earth (Canada) for a water treatment system at its Pickering plant. Earth had installed a similar system for OPG two years ago.

Earth’s new RPA system will treat approximately 16,000 litres per year of oily water generated by the power turbines for discharge according to regulatory standards. Earth claims that RPA is the only truly reusable hydrocarbon absorbent. No waste is created and it allows for full recovery of the absorbed oil.
