Electrabel has licensed Ventyx asset health management software to facilitate enhanced equipment reliability at its nuclear power plants in Belgium.

The Ventyx SystemIQ software will be implemented in Electrabel’s three units at the Tihange plant in Wallonia and has also been licensed for potential future implementation at the Doel site in Flanders.

The Web-based SystemIQ software will facilitate system performance monitoring and health reporting at the sites. Designed to automate data collection, the software integrates with supporting applications such as work management, corrective action, condition monitoring and diagnostics, inventory management.

The software is available in a range of languages, according to Ventyx, an ABB company.

“We are extremely proud to add Electrabel to the growing list of nuclear operators across the globe that depend on Ventyx software for the reliable and safe operation of their plants,” said Ventyx sales executive Peter van den Berg. “Nine of the top 10 European power generators rely on Ventyx solutions to improve their work and asset performance.”
