France’s Framatome on 2 August announced its acquisition of the nuclear power systems division of RCM Technologies Canada Corp. This acquisition expands Framatome’s Candu design expertise and its presence in Canada.

The acquisition of RCM’s nuclear power systems division enhances our unique expertise in engineering, procurement and construction for the nuclear energy industry and positions us well to serve our Canadian customers.”
Framatome is a major supplier of maintenance and engineering services for the Canadian and global Candu markets. RCM’s nuclear power systems division expands Framatome’s expertise in mechanical, civil, structural, architectural and electrical engineering for Candu reactors.
Framatome has more than 300 personnel in Canada, including employees, subcontractors and trades across three locations in Kincardine, Pickering and Montreal. Team members in both Ontario locations focus on providing solutions related to engineering and systems, nuclear services and hardware. The team in Montreal designs and manufactures safety instrumentation and control systems for nuclear steam supply systems throughout North America.
