A full-scale simulator is being installed at the Rooppur NPP being constructed in Bangladesh. The specialists of JSC ITC JET have begun the installation of consoles and panels of a full-scale simulator, which is an exact copy of the real control centre of the NPP, in the building of the plant training centre. The simulator is a key element of the training system. The training centre for specialists in the construction and installation of NPPs was commissioned earlier in June.
Rooppur NPP is being built by Rosatom with two VVER-1200 reactors. Rooppur 1 is currently scheduled to start operating 2023, followed by Rooppur 2 a year later.
