India's Axiscades Engineering Technologies has signed a memorandum of understanding with French nuclear engineering company Assystem Energy & Infrastructure to form a joint venture (JV) company in India.

The JV will undertake engineering services for the energy sector business for Indian and global utilities and contractors. The companies said in a joint-statement on 31 May that the joint venture also aims to address nuclear programmes in India.

The JV plans to employ over 500 skilled engineers in next three years, it added.
