Japan’s Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency (NISA) has ordered Tokyo Electric Power Co (Tepco) to submit an additional report on falsified data relating to statutory inspections of its nuclear power plants.
The additional reporting requirements means the company will re-investigate several hundred cases of data falsification going back over three decades.
Tepco will also have to identify causes and develop preventative measures in its submission, which is required by 1 March.
