Horizon Nuclear Power Limited has extended its current marine environmental services contract with Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. The contract, which involves environmental assessment work, supports Horizon’s plans to build a new nuclear power station at Wylfa, on Anglesey in the United Kingdom.

The scope of works includes delivering a baseline marine ecology survey programme covering fisheries, benthos, marine birds, plankton and water quality; environmental impact assessments; option appraisals; and Habitat Regulations Assessments (HRA) for the new power station and its associated infrastructure.

The value of the contract has not been disclosed.
