Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) aims to select a site for a low-level and intermediate-level waste repository and interim storage of its spent fuel by the beginning of 2003. KHNP and the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy hope to identify 3-5 candidate locations in August or September, and to select one of these sites by the end of 2002.
