Maria Korsnick former senior vice president – operations and chief operating officer of Constellation Energy Nuclear Group, LLC (CENG), has been named the company’s chief nuclear officer. Henry Barron will retain his title and role as president and chief executive officer of CENG.

Korsnick, who has 24 years of industry experience, began her career at the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant (CCNPP) and has held a number of positions with increasing levels of responsibility. Korsnick served for three years as Site Vice President at R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant and returned to the corporate office in 2007, serving as the Vice President, Technical Services, Vice President, Nuclear Operations Support and Vice President, Corporate Site Operations. In these positions, she had the responsibility for managing the corporate headquarters and supporting the five operating reactors.

In May 2009, Korsnick became the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Operations. Throughout her career, she has been instrumental in ongoing initiatives to align fleet operating standards while ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the nuclear sites.

“Maria’s appointment to the CNO role recognizes her immense talent and leadership ability,” said Barron. “She has the experience and the strategic vision to lead the fleet as we position the company for a successful future.”
