Zetec, a leading supplier of eddy current equipment, has released the SM-25, a new remote inspection fixture for nuclear steam generator inspections. The fixture incorporates the new universal V-block mount into its remote latching tool head, which can be used with the quick- disconnect camera head, dual guide tube head and other tool heads. The SM-25 features new remote control capabilities that provide trunk positioning from the fixture control workstation.
Zetec have also released the UFC-1, the universal fixture controller that supports the SM-25 and provides backward compatibility with existing Zetec fixtures. The UFC-1 can be customised according to the particular acquisition system.
