The Finnish government has granted new operating licences to Loviisa nuclear power plant units 1 and 2. For Loviisa 1, the new licence is valid until the end of 2027 and for Loviisa 2, until the end of 2030. The current licences, which were granted in 1998, expire at the end of this year.
Fortum’s long-term objective is to safely use the plant units for at least fifty years.
