Angra-3 municipal licence received

Eletrobras Termonuclear S/A (Eletronuclear) has received licence no. 108 de 2009 from the municipality of Angra dos Reis, the licensing municipality, for the construction of Angra 3 nuclear power plant. In recent months, Eletronuclear and the city negotiated the various projects which comprise the program of social compensation that meets certain conditions by the environmental licensing of the venture.

This program, whose term of commitment to its implementation will be signed within the next 45 days, requires investments of around $150 million in six years, to be applied in Angra dos Reis in the areas of education, health, civil defense, social action, works and public services, economic activities, water and sanitation, culture and environment.
