The Bulgarian nuclear power plant in Belene may be granted a new type of international licence, local media reports, if the country joins a US-backed multinational programme for new nuclear facilities safety.
Under the programme, drafted by the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission, multinational working groups will approve projects on new nuclear facilities.
