GE deal for Exelon BWR

GE Energy has signed a deal with Exelon Nuclear for parts related to servicing a fleet of 12 boiling water reactor (BWR) nuclear units.

The six-year contract covers the supply of in-core neutron monitoring instrumentation to support the operations of Exelon’s BWR fleet.

The plants covered under the deal include Exelon’s Dresden Units 2 and 3, LaSalle Units 1 and 2, Quad Cities Units 1 and 2, Limerick Units 1 and 2, Peach Bottom Units 2 and 3, Clinton and Oyster Creek.

The deal marks the largest number of BWR nuclear plants ever to enter into a contractual parts agreement with GE Energy for Reuter Stokes nuclear instrumentation.
