TVEL to supply fuel to Armenian NPP

Russian fuel company TVEL has signed an agreement to supply fuel to the Armenian nuclear power station until the end of its service life. Armenia 2 started commercial operation in 1980.

The contract was signed on 1 July 2010 by president of TVEL Yuri Olenin and Gagik Markosyan director general of Aikakan Atomayin Elektrakayan, operator of Armenia NPP.

The documents fixed a market-oriented pricing mechanism for fuel that will be applied until the unit is decommissioned.

Both parties said that the agreements are mutually beneficial and allows them to extend their cooperation.
