15 June 2009

US IT company CSC has signed IT outsourcing contracts with UKAEA and its subsidiary GBP31 million. CSC is providing network support, applications management and database administration for the Civil Nuclear Police Authority, Dounreay Site Restoration, Research Sites Restoration, UKAEA Culham and UKAEA.

In the light of the UKAEA's restructuring into two companies, in-house IT was not deemed to be strategic in the long term.
