The USNRC has reported that there were no incidents in commercial nuclear power stations in the period of May 2009-April 2010 that involved a major reduction in the degree of protection of public health and safety.
A total of nine abnormal occurrences were reported at medical facilities.
The last abnormal event in nuclear fuel was in March 2006 when 35L of HEU solution leaked into a glovebox at Nuclear Fuel Services in Erwin, Tennessee.
The last abnormal event at a commercial nuclear power plant was the reactor vessel head degradation at Davis-Besse nuclear power station, discovered in February 2002.
