Canada’s Bruce Power on 3 October signed a $58 million contract with Nuvia Canada for radiation protection services during the Major Component Replacement Unit 6 project.
Nuvia will provide core services to perform the duties of direct radiation protection assistance for assigned work.
Earlier this year, Nuvia opened a new Radiological Protection Training Centre and Project office in Tiverton, and has started training technicians in preparation to support Bruce Power.
Mike Rencheck, Bruce Power President and CEO said, “We’re pleased that Nuvia has joined as a partner in completing our Life Extension Program, which is creating and sustaining 22,000 highly-skilled jobs across Ontario, including Bruce, Grey and Huron counties, while delivering 30 per cent of Ontario’s electricity at 30 per cent less than the average cost to generate residential power.”
