The last phase in the 10-year programme to modernise Orkarshamn 1 will begin early in December. The work will include replacing a turbine and the I&C equipment, and redesigning the layout of the control room.
It is hoped that the unit, which began commercial operation in 1972, will run for a further 20 years.
