The World Nuclear Transport Institute (WNTI) is excited to announce the appointment of Professor Peter Bryant as Chief Executive Officer from March 2025. Peter will be representing members’ interests internationally whilst leading WNTIs growth, development and influence on the global stage.
He joins us from Sizewell C / EDF Energy, where he is currently Director of ESG & Radiation Strategy and was the former Head of Environment, Decommissioning and Radiation Safety. He has a strong background in environmental and radiation protection with over 16 years’ experience working across the Nuclear Fuel Cycle.
In addition to his industry and commercial experience, Peter is equally well known and active within the International Scientific and Policy Arena at the International Commission on Radiological Protection, International Atomic Energy Agency, OECD Nuclear Energy Agency and World Nuclear Association, with a particular focus on Radiation Protection, Emergency Planning, Sustainability and Stakeholder Engagement.
He was also former President of the UK’s Society for Radiological Protection and holds an Honorary Professorship in Physics at the University of Liverpool specialising in Radiation Protection Science, Nuclear Energy Policy and Nuclear Reactor Technology.

Peter Bryant additionally added:
