Teollisuuden Voima Oyj (TVO) announced, 24 April that it is currently investigating a quality non-conformity detected on the OL3 construction site.
Both TVO and the plant supplier have detected in their inspections indications of quality non-conformities in small pipes installed in the OL3 construction site.
The non-conformity detected concerns a single entry of small pipes, TVO said. Plant supplier Areva and TVO have started comprehensive quality inspections and analysis to investigate the matter. These inspections are still in progress.
“We can draw conclusions of the situation only after thorough inspections have been carried out,” says Jouni Silvennoinen, senior vice president responsible for the OL3 project.
Installation of the small pipes in question has now been discontinued.
