Russia’s ZiO-Podolsk (part of Rosatom’s mechanical engineering division Atomenergomash) said on 24 May that it had shipped a separator-superheater separator tank (SPP-1200) to unit 2 at the Rooppur NPP under construction in Bangladesh.
The equipment weighs 41 tons and has an operational service life of 50 years. ZiO-Podolsk previously supplied similar devices for new power units at Russia’s Novovoronezh II and Leningrad II NPPs and to the two units of the Belarus NPP.
