Two Westinghouse senior VPs have exchanged positions within the company. Daniel Lipman has become senior vice president, Westinghouse global growth and innovation, and Ricardo Perez has become senior vice president, Westinghouse nuclear power plants.

Westinghouse president and CEO Aris Candris said that the company has a long-standing effort to provide employees at all levels with rotations to introduce new perspectives through the company.

Perez was selected in August 2008 into the new role of head of global growth and innovation to ensure that Westinghouse is prepared to meet the needs of the global nuclear energy industry. The initiative has five foci: aligned strategic growth, revolutionary technology, close-to-the-customer decision making, standardised core processes and infrastructure optimisation. Before that assignment, he worked as head of Westinghouse Nuclear Services for three and a half years.

Lipman was appointed to head up the nuclear power plants division in May 2005 and played a role securing AP1000 deals in China. He has also served as senior vice president of the company’s opperational excellence department and in other customer relations and sales positions.
