With threats of referral to the UN Security Council hanging over it, Iran has moved to increase diplomatic pressures.
The country has overwhelmingly voted to pass a law that will see the country refuse to cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in the event that the agency refers the hardline Islamic regime.
In related news, the first generator of Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant is not “technically” ready to receive fuel Evgeny Reshetnikov, vice president of Russian state-owned nuclear engineering company Atomstroyexport, has reportedly said. Fuel is likely to be loaded by the end of 2006.
