UK-based Fine Tubes, which manufactures and distributes precision tubes for critical applications, has been working with City College Plymouth to develop and implement a customer service-focused management training course.
Fine Tubes is keen to enhance the general management capabilities of its Customer Service Cell Leaders, including their knowledge and understanding of core disciplines. The company, based in Plymouth, considered a number of options before deciding to work with City College.
A number of Fine Tubes’ Cell Leaders began undertaking the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Diploma in First Line Management (QCF) level 3 in October 2013.
"Working with City College has been an excellent experience, right from the initial meeting in which we outlined our requirements. They have tailored a programme that meets our specific needs and we have already seen a significant improvement in the confidence and ability of all the Cell Leaders currently taking the course,"said Joe Doherty, Fine Tubes’ Production Manager.
Doherty added that those participating in the course had "given very positive feedback on both the course content and the quality of the tutors."
Sean Gibson, Key Account Manager at City College Plymouth, commented: "As one of the largest training providers in the Plymouth travel-to-work area, we have considerable expertise in delivering further and higher education training which is responsive, flexible and meets the needs of industry. We’re delighted with how well our collaboration with Fine Tubes is developing – and with how well the Fine Tubes’ employees are performing."
